The relationship between the natural environment and economic development has interested me for some time. However, it was through my work experience as an Environmental Consultant in the mining sector, that I became acutely aware of the social impacts associated with development. My main interest now lies in sustainable development and ways to reconcile economic development, environmental protection and social fairness in developing countries.
